How much does a WooCommerce online store cost in 2026
What goes into the price of a WooCommerce store: catalog, payments, shipping, integrations. Starting prices, timelines and costs after launch.
Short answer: a WooCommerce online store with a custom theme starts at $1800 and takes from 4 weeks. That is the price of a basic store: catalog, cart, payments, shipping and an easy admin panel. Beyond that, the total depends on how many products you have, which integrations you need and how unusual your sales process is. Let me go through it step by step.
What a basic store includes
- a catalog with filters and product pages;
- cart and checkout;
- payment and shipping setup;
- an admin panel for products, orders and stock;
- product import from your spreadsheet or a 1C export;
- a mobile version, since most store traffic comes from phones.

What affects the price
Products and data preparation
A thousand products is not a problem by itself. What drives the effort is the shape of your data and how many attributes products have. A clean spreadsheet with names, prices, photos and attributes imports quickly. If the data is scattered across files or does not exist yet, preparing it takes extra time.
Filters
Filtering by price and category exists in almost any store. Filters across a dozen attributes (size, color, material, compatibility) require a well-planned catalog structure and separate work.
Payments
The payment provider is chosen for your country and customers. For international sales it is usually Stripe or PayPal, and many countries have their own local providers. Each payment method has to be connected and tested with real test orders.
Shipping
The simplest option is a flat rate or free shipping above a certain order total. It gets more complex when the cost is calculated automatically through a carrier, with pickup point selection on a map. That is a separate integration.
Connecting to accounting, warehouse and CRM
Importing products from a spreadsheet or export is part of the project. Two-way sync with an accounting system, where stock and orders are constantly exchanged between the store and your system, is priced separately: a lot depends on how your export is set up.
Extra features
Customer accounts with order history, loyalty points, wholesale prices, multiple languages and currencies. Coupons come with WooCommerce out of the box, but a loyalty program or a wholesale area is custom work.
Design
If you have a design, I build from it. If not, I bring in a designer I work with, and the design is priced separately.
Stock theme or custom theme
There are ready-made WooCommerce themes, and a store built on one costs less. But a stock store theme carries a lot of unused code, and speed matters especially for a store: a slow catalog loses buyers. A custom theme costs more up front, but it contains only what your store needs. More on the difference in How much does a WordPress website cost in 2026.
Costs after launch
- Hosting. A store needs a more powerful plan than a simple business site, especially with a large catalog.
- Paid extensions. WooCommerce itself is free, but some extensions for payments, shipping and other features are sold as yearly subscriptions.
- Payment fees. Payment providers take a percentage of each payment, so factor it into your prices.
- Maintenance. I support the store for free during the first month after launch: that is when almost all real questions come up. After that we can work hourly or you can go without support.
WooCommerce or Next.js
For most stores WooCommerce is a great choice: it is time-tested, and the admin panel is clear without training. A Next.js storefront is worth considering if speed directly affects sales, you need a non-standard ordering process, or the store is multilingual. I compare them in Next.js or WordPress.
What to prepare for an accurate quote
- how many products you have and what shape the data is in;
- which payment methods you need;
- where and how you ship;
- where you keep records: accounting software, a warehouse system, a spreadsheet;
- whether you need customer accounts, loyalty points, wholesale prices;
- whether you have a design or brand style;
- your preferred timeline and budget.
With this list, fill in the brief on the home page. I will reply within one business day with a price and timeline for your store.
